Quantify and leverage flexibility to increase (public) Smart Charging performance

With a near 10 million Electric Vehicles (EV) projected to be present in the Netherlands, we face a national challenge to create a resilient energy system that can facilitate the electricity demand of such a fleet. As we today experience the growth of EV passenger cars in the network, we also await electric heavy-duty vehicles to further increase this demand significantly. Leveraging load flexibility through Smart Charging can play a key role in reducing grid congestion, maximizing renewable energy utilization, and lowering the CO2 footprint of EV. In this presentation, we introduce the topic of flexibility in the context of public EV charging, along with real-world results of TotalEnergies’ Smart Charging activities.

Presented by Jules van Dijk, TotalEnergies Marketing Nederland

Jules van Dijk - TotalEnergies
