Local energy collective solves grid congestion in Port of Amsterdam
Port of Amsterdam will discuss the grid congestion situation within the Amsterdam Port area. The Port has recently started an initiative to establish an Energie Cooperation to better utilize access capacity on the grid. This will be done by balancing capacity at DSO substation and close cooperation with Liander.

About Reinoud Botman
Trained as a geologist I have 12 years of experience from the oil & gas industry: 6 years at Equinor in Norway and 6 years at ONE-Dyas in Amsterdam. Areas of expertise is in exploration: performing geological evaluations of new drilling targets, risk & uncertainty analyses and well planning. I have extensive experience in business development by identifying, evaluating and recommending new acquisition opportunities.
In 2021, I made a job transition by starting a new job at Port of Amsterdam as a project manager energy infrastructure. Around that time grid congestion became a serious problem in the Port. I am now working full-time on this challenging but exiting topic by exploring new and innovative solutions.
